Glittered Cello Ornament Old World Christmas

Each figurative glass ornament produced by Old World Christmas is handcrafted in age-old tradition using the same techniques that originated in the 1800s. Molten glass is mouth-blown into finely carved molds made exclusively for Old World Christmas before a hot solution of liquid silver is poured inside. The ornaments are then hand-painted and glittered in a series of labor-intensive steps to achieve the beautiful creations.

Glittered Cello Ornament. Also known as the bass violin, the cello is the 2nd largest string instrument, after the double bass. This soulful instrument emerged in the early 16th century and was originally held between the musician’s legs; later the endpin was added as much more comfortable support.
