Description
Betty Crocker™ Cookbook Ornament Old World Christmas. A simple contest by The Washburn-Crosby Company would give birth to an icon. Questions from home cooks who used the contest as an opportunity to ask for expert baking advice was the birth of the iconic Betty Crocker. Betty was not a single person but rather a group of employees at the flour factory. The demand for baking information continued to grow and this was the start of the world-renowned Betty Crocker Kitchens.
Dimensions: 3.75 X 1.75 X 1.5 (HxLxW)
Each figurative glass ornament produced by Old World Christmas is hand crafted in age-old tradition using the same techniques that originated in the 1800’s. Molten glass is mouth-blown into finely carved molds made exclusively for Old World Christmas, before a hot solution of liquid silver is poured inside. The ornaments are then hand-painted and glittered in a series of labor-intensive steps to achieve the beautiful creations.
