Breckenridge Colorado Ornament By Julie Leidel. A Colorado artist with a deep love for the natural beauty that surrounds us. Julie has captured the stunning beauty of the peaks ready for snowy fun or summer adventures in Breckenridge. Home to the largest historic district in Colorado, Breckenridge’s rich and colorful history is full of gold finds and mining, exploration and adventure, brothels, saloons, booms and busts. Founded in 1859 by a small group of prospectors, the town’s Gold Rush brought droves of settlers seeking their fortunes. Commemorate your visit with an ornament from Judy Leidel.

Julie Leidel has been painting for more than 30 years, but it was only when she discovered the Arts & Crafts Movement (1880-1920) that she truly found her artistic voice. The Arts & Crafts style has been a muse on her shoulder for over sixteen years, and her love story with this period-style artwork started with a home renovation in 2005. She fell in love with the architecture, furniture, pottery, and lighting that, when brought together, make a house a home.
Julie’s artwork evokes a feeling of yesteryear and connects to our memories of the natural beauty that surrounds us. She strives to creatively translate the landscape, architecture, animals, and written word into artwork for the Craftsman home. She enjoys her daily qigong meditation practice, photography, hiking, camping and 4x4ing in the Colorado high country. She spends much of her time in her art studio, and with her loving husband and two children at her home in Evergreen, Colorado.
